16~The GLOBE Thursday, June 28, 1973 A : ASTROS -- Minor League Astros lined up before the crowd at Wright Memorial Field Friday night, prior to their beating the Red Sox for the Minor League Championship. Members of Astros, left to right are: Greg Aarde, Scott Emory, Shane Krag, Brad Swinger, Lorne Zingmark, John Carlson, Bill Landert, Craig Amundson, Duane Morgison, Jack Swafford, Erie Hultman, Ken Engberg and coach Sid Amundson. Not present for picture was Roger Burton. RED SOX were winners of the American Division of Little League Minors with a record of 10-2 for the regular season. They lost a playoff game to National Division Astros Friday evening. Coaches are back row left to right - Charlie Anderson, Jerry Newman and Harold Hamilton. Bartlett-Foxe is the 1973 Major Little League champions of Marysville, finishing the season with a 11-3 mark after losing to Bloom's 11-10 in final game of the season. Don's Arco took second, defeating Pepsi 10-1. As a result the Pepsi and Marysville Auto Parts finished in a tie for third necessitating a playoff for right to enter the Little League Invitational at Lynndale Park July 2, 3, 5, 7 at Lynnwoed. Bartlett-Foxe will play Mountlake Terrace July 6 in a special "bye" game in an effort to compete in the upcoming County Little League tournament. Game time is 6:30 July 6 at Lynn- dale Park according to coach Dennis Meek. Final games played this week in Majors action saw Bartlett-Foxe nipped 11-10 by Lloyd Seihert coached Bloom's.
