MARJORIE ANN HENDRICKSON became the bride
of Charles Allen Baker Jr. of Everett in an evening
ceremony at Bethlehem Lutheran Church June 9. The
bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald R.
Hendrickson of Marysville. The groom is the son of the
late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Allen Baker Sr. A 1969
graduate of Marysville High School, the bride
graduated from Everett Community College in 1972
and is a secretary for Snohomish County. The groom
graduated from Everett High School in 1966, Everett
Community College in 1968 and attended Oregon
Technical Institute. He is employed by B&M Food
Stores in Marysvflle. Following a wedding trip to
California the couple will be at home in Everett.

The BIG ANNUAL STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL is all over
and it was a HUGE SUCCESS...CONGRATULATIONS to

with WILLIE BUTTKE...JOE KERCHER an office
visitor...PHIL SCHNEIDER visiting KIWANIS Club
meeting...WALT JOHNSON visiting LES GRESLI.
AND NOW THIS WEEK
RON NOBACH lunching at the Fin and Feather
Restaurant...the FIN had a big crowd on festival
day...JERRY LINDGREN and JEANNIE BASSETT
plugging their ears while the Bag Pipers played a con-
cert...a big crowd of spectators in front of ROY ROBINSON
CHEVROLET...with ROY waving at the pretty girls...and
next door almost...at the United Realty and Insurance were
BERTHA SMITH and FLORENCE PRICE...and we waved
to MARV HENRICKSEN...and still next door at JOHN
KRELL Realty Broker EARL McKEE viewing his first
festival parade in years...JOHN KRELL always active.
At the Village Cafe lunching were the WARREN POT-
TERS...with the EMIL ANDERSONS from Vancouver just
entering for some of the famous food served by WAYNE
CROSS...JACK McCOY passing by...JO BALAM stopping
for lunch...JOHN and LILLIAN HIATT opening their carpet
store after the parade...the MARYSVILLE-Everett FLOOR
coverin~ Shoo on 1st Street.
JANSHA Tanning Company being well blocked off during
the parade...but CHUB HOLMES, HANK JANSHA and the
crew always have a way to get in to the shop...nice to meet
TOMMY DAVIS...and we helloed GARY LANE...to CLIFF
CRUZEN's Tavern where greeted FRED and DARLEEN
HEICHEL...and then a hello to RUDY WESTLUND with
CUFF doing the honors.
At KAY KUHNLE's Tavern MARY JAMES winning the
Ladies Pool Tournament and SHIRLEY BROWN was
second...in the men's division CHUCK MOUNT took the
honors followed by MORRIS MELANG...all were presented
trophies...GHOST hears petitions will soon be out to let
MIDWAY and other points North have their own fire
department and consolidate Priest Point and Sunnyside
~vith MARYSVILLE...a hello to LEE CUNDIFF...and a
hello to HARRY FOWLER.
A big crowd in front of BLOOM's Department Store that
x~as closed during the parade and the employees looking out
thd windows...JACK MORRISON telling of trip to NEVADA
taken by his and his dad's family FAY MORRISON...RON
Kt)NA telling of golfing...and we relaxed *in company of
DICK COLLUM...MIKE HAMMOND lunching in company
of Attorney GENE STOCK...nice to meet Dr. FRANK
CARI.~ON who was in company of Dr. JIM BURKETT.
GRACE HILTON COLLINGWOOD stopping to chat and
being in company of ELIZABETH MORRIS...DENNIE
WESTERGREEN serving as mixologist...miss seeing
('HET JENSEN of CHET's Cabinet Shop...LOU JENSEN
has 4th of JULY favors and flags at her Gift Shoppe...LYLE
REED stopping to relax...and talking logs...ARNE

GARY and VALDA BLOOM busy showing nice cool
clothing at the BLOOM's Department Store...MARCIA
MILLS with a new hair-do...the women swarmed into
Rudy's Recreation on both Friday and Saturday where
WARREN GEDDES covered up the pool tables to give
more room...DARRYL and JEAN LONG were there...as
also were BUCK and HELEN UPTON listening to the PIPE
BAND...nice to see JIM and VERNA BROOKS down from
ALASKA for the celebration...also flying down were VERN
KUDER and BUZZ CARTER...nice to see VERYL and
ANNA MAY HATCH...and we helloed MITCH
ROCHON...relaxed in company of CAL and JUNE
HUSBY...DON SWAN helping customers...DON'T burn
yourself on the 4th of JULY.
