Audrey Leone (Pratt) Jones,
92, passed away Tuesday, Jan.
1, 2008, in Lutz, Fla. She was
preceded in
death by her
husband, Rob-
ert E. Jones,
of Arlington,
Wash, their
son Darrell
Jones and two
sisters.
Audrey
was the first
child born to
Sarah Etta and Leonidas Pratt in
Albion, Idaho, on April 1, 1915.
She is surw‘ved by her children
Helen (Bill) Houssian of LutZ,
Fla., Delores (John B) Dickson
of North Salt Lake, Utah, Gary
Jones of Lynden, Wash, 25
grandchildren and 74 great-
grandchildren.
Bob and Audrey raised
their family in Darrington and
Camano Island, Wash. They
were wonderful parents and
much loved by their family.
They always thought about their
fairiin first. They were involved
in many community projects.
Audrey gave many years of
devoted service in the Church of
Jesus Christ of Latter~day Saints.
A funeral service was held at
the Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints, 530 Arlington
Heights Road, Arlington, WA, on
Saturday morning, Jan. 5, at 11
am. The family received friends
from 9:30 am. to 10:45 am. at
the church. In lieu of flowers,
donations may be made in her
memory to the Humanitarian
Fund, 50 East North Temple, Salt
Lake City, Utah 84150.

Beloved wife, mother,
grandmother and great-grand—
mother, Esther Dolores Minish
Mattocks, of Arlington, Wash,
peacefully passed away on Dec.
15, 2007. Dolores was 78. She
was born April 13, 1929 in Hart-
ford Wash. to Jess and Esther
Granger and graduated from
Lake Stevens High School.
Dolores married James Min-
ish and had three sons, Stuart,
Jess, and Jon. They made their
home in the Lake Stevens, Wash.
area.
Dolores is preceded in
death by her first husband,
James; and their son, Stuart.
Dolores was employed as
a hair stylist, sheriff's matron,
newspaper editor and retired
from the Lake Stevens Post
Office. Dolores married William
Mattocks on May 21, 1994. Both
William and Dolores enjoyed
traveling, playing pool, and
spending time with all their fam-
ily and friends. Dolores enjoyed
spending time at the Camino
Country Club where she and Wil-
liam liked to dance and socialize
with their friends. Dolores pro—
foundly touched the hearts of
all those that were so blessed to
come in to her life.
She will be deeply missed
and never forgotten as she con-
tinues on with her new journey.
Dolores will be missed by all,
including husband, William; son,
Jess and his wife, Bobbie, and
son, Jon; grandchildren, Jaide,
Nicki, Cole, Jesse, Tyler, Dan,
and Laura; and great-grandchil—
dren, Addison, Benjamin, Adrie,
Lexi, Tyler, and Riley.

p.m., Jan. 5, 2008, at the Stan-

Donald Regan
Don Regan, 83, ofArling
ton, Wash, died Dec. 26, 2007,
with his wife by his side. He
was born in
Marysville,
Wash. on May
12, 1924.
Don
served in the
V—l 2 program
in World
War II, was
a dairyman
and timber
cruiser. He
served on the
Arlington School Board as well
as 15 years on the Arlington
City Council. He was a found—
ing director of the Bank of
Arlington, and remained on the
Frontier Bank Board of Direc-
tors for 21 years, and continued
as a Director Emeritus. He was
president of the Stillaguamish
Senior Center for two terms,
board member emeritus, and an
active, longtime volunteer, where
his hidden talent as "hotcakes"
chef was discovered. He was
past Commander of the Arling-
ton American Legion Post 76, a
life member of the Sunnycrest
Grange, Everett Elks, and Sons
of Norway, and a member of
Immaculate Conception Parish.
His most important role was
that of husband, father, and
grandfather, and he was proud
of his family and his Irish heri-
tage.
He. is survived by his wife
of 60 years, Lorraine; sons, Jim
(Fely), Jerry (SandY); daughters,
Cindy (Bill), Terah and Kathy;
seven grandchildren, Kim, Jeri,
Adam, Marc, Jamie, Matt, TJ; and
2 great-granddaughters, Kyrstin,
and Arriann. His niece, Lynn;
and nephews John and Doug
Cockburn also survive him. He
was preceded in death by his
parents, James and Emily and
his sister Margaret.
The family expresses much
gratitude to his physician, Dr.
Richard Terry.

A Mass of Christian Burial
was held at 11 a.m., Dec, 31,
2007, at the Arlington Immacu»
late Conception Church. Inter-
ment will follow at the Arlington
Cemetery. .

noon to 8 p.m., Dec. 30, 2007, at
Weller Funeral Home.

Marie Rawlins died Dec.

birthday, at Josephine Sunset

She was born
Dec. 21, 1908,
near Ruso,
N.D., to Carl
and Johanna
Schmidt,
the fifth of
eight chil—
dren. Marie
attended
Velva State Agricultural High
School while working for her
room and board, then trained
as a registered nurse in Minot,
ND. Receiving her RN's cap in
1934 was a proud day in her
life. She married longtime friend
and neighbor, Delbert Rawlins
in 1935.
Marie was known for her
hospitality. No one ever went
away hungry, and they usually
carried along some of her home-
canned produce or her baked
goods. To her grandchildren,
Grannie’s butterhorns were leg-
endary. They have happy memo-
ries of the creative fun she made
for them.
Marie was preceded in ,
death by her parents; six broth-
ers and sisters; her husband
of 63 years; her youngest son,
David; and grandson, Byron
Wheatley.

sister, Ella Martinson, 0f Kongs—
berg, N.D.; daughters, Joan
Husby (Hank), Lois Drake (Jim),
Patty Wheatley; son, Bill Rawlins
(Mary); daughter-in-law, Joy Raw-
lins; grandchildren, Tami Nich-
ols, Mike Rawlins, Diane Drake
Gore, Rob Biggar, Mary Arthur,
Heather Brown, Stacy McCredy,
Lenora Anderson, Eric Wheatley,

ins, and Tom Rawlins; and thir-
teen great-grandchildren.
The family extends their

caregivers who helped with her
care from 1998 to the present.

Anne B. Fisher, 66, a former
Marysville, Wash. area resident,
passed away in Sedro-Woolley,
Wash. on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2007.
She was born in Oakland,
Calif. on Nov. 1., 1941 and was
raised and attended school in
Seattle, Wash.
Anne made her home in
Marysville for many years until
moving to Port Orchard, Wash.
for a while and then to Sedro-
Woolley in October of 2005.
She enjoyed flowers and
animals of all kinds.
She is survived by her
children, Carvel Deaver (Sue), of
Marysville, J.D. Deaver (Rene),
of Stanwood, Wash. and Shari
Pollock, of Sedro-Woolley; nine
grandchildren; and numerous
great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in
death by her husband, Frank in
December 2006; a son, Douglas;
a brother, Rich; and a sister, Col-
lette.

Graveside services were
held at 11 am, on Saturday, Jan.
5, 2008, at Evergreen—Washelli
Cemetery in Seattle.

Kenneth James Snyder
Kenneth James Snyder
passed away suddenly and
unexpectedly on Jan. 3, 2008.
Ken was born
in the town
of Snohom-
ish, Wash. on
April 6, 1930.
He attended
elementary
school in
Lakewood and
high school
in Arlington,
Wash. He
joined the Coast Guard in 1948
and was honorably discharged in
1951. Ken then spent two years
working for Simpson Lee as a
log scaler, followed by 16 years
at Bay Distributing. Many will
also remember Ken as a long-
time tavern owner in Everett,
Wash. Ken completed his work—
ing years at the City of Marys-
ville Water Department, retiring
in 1994.
Ken was active in sports
and community, serving as
president of the Lake Goodwin
Community Club, commissioner
of Junior Sports in Lakewood,
president and coach of Stilly
Valley Little League, and player/
manager in fastpitch softball
for 25 years.
In June of 1953, Ken mar—
ried Betty Johnson, his loving
wife of 54 years. They spent
most of their married life living
at Lake Goodwin, raising their
three children. After retirement
Ken was never without projects.
If he wasn't working around his
own house, he was helping his
children at theirs. He worked
every spring and summer on his
ever—changing vegetable garden
and enjoyed taking vacations on
the island of Kauai.
He leaves behind his lov—
ing wife Betty; their three chil-
dren, daughters, Sandra (Lance
Imboden) and Donna (Randie
Fenton) and son Jay. He dearly
loved his five grandchildren,
David, Jamie, Laura, Matthew
and Michael. They will greatly
miss their grandpa.
In addition to his immedi-
ate family, Ken leaves behind his
sister Doris Scott and brother
Dale Snyder, as well as many,
many good friends. He was able
to spend time with both family
and friends during the recent
holiday season, creating even
more special memories for all.
At Ken’s request, there will
be no services. The family will

Marian C. Fix, 90, of
Marysville, Wash, passed away,
Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2007, in
Everett, Wash. She was born in
Washburn, North Dakota, to
Peter and Petra Larson, on May
3, 1917.
She is survived by her son-
in-law, Les Palmer; her sister,
Pearl Underdahl; two grandchil-
dren; and four great-grandch-
dren.
She was preceded in death
by her parents; and two daugh-
ters, Carolyn and Linda.
She also leaves behind
many friends at Windsor Square
in Marysville, where she lived for
many years.

Richard ‘Illok’ Clair Stubben, Jr.
Richard "Dick" Clair Stub-
ben, Jr., 59, passed away on
Dec. 21, 2007, after a long battle
with Multi Systems Atrophy (Shy
Drager). He was born on Oct. 11,
1948, in Everett, Wash.
, He was preceded in death
by‘his'parent‘s, Richard Clair
Stubben, Sr. and Mary Helen
Stubben.
He is survived by his wife
of 36 years, Mary Stubben, of
Snohomish, Wash; daughters,
Carrie Stubben, of Monroe,
Wash, and Melissa Tate, of Ever-
ett; son, Jacob Stubben, of Sno-
homish; and grandchild, Cassidy
Skye Smullin, of Monroe. He is
also survived by brothers, Fred
Stubben, of Lake Stevens, Wash.
and Jim Stubben, of Arlington,
Wash; and stepmother, Doris
Stubben, of Marysville, Wash.
Dick graduated from Marys-
ville High School in 1966 and
served in the United States Navy.
He worked at Buse Timber and
Sales for 27 years before he was
taken ill and had to retire.
Dick had an enormous love
of the outdoors. He was happi-
est when at home with his fam-
ily and working on his five acres.
It was very common to see him
with an axe, shovel or chainsaw
in his hands.
Dick will be remembered
as a wonderful husband, father,
brother and friend. He was truly
a kind and loving person and
will be missed by all.
A private memorial will be
held at a later date for family
and friends

Rhoda E. Weber, 69, passed
away peacefully on Dec. 28,
2007. Rhoda has had many med—
ical issues over te
years. She

Durfee, she
had 14 sib-

Rhoda
has lived in Washington for the
past seven years to live close to
her two children. The last two
years she lived in “An Angels
Touch" adult home in Marys-
ville, Wash. She was very much
loved by family and friends.
Mom always had an “I love you"
and blew a kiss to everyone she
saw. Mom is now at peace and
pain free. She is in Heaven walk-
ing around and smoking her
cigs. Her favorite pastimes were
watching Lifetime TV and play-
ing yahtzee. She will be greatly
missed. We love you mom.
She is survived by her
son, Rick Weber; daughter, Kim
Buchanan; grandchildren, Shawn,
Tonya, Melissa, Misty, Donald,
and Brooke; nine great-grand—
children; and many nieces and
nephews.
We will have a small gath-
ering in Marysville, Wash, for
family and friends at I p.m.,
Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008, at
the home of Chuck and Kim
Buchanan.
Rhoda will be buried in
Almo, Idaho in summer of 2008,
with her family.
